Tunnel-like installation build for the first Kobe Biennale originally installed within a 20-feet overseas shipping container. Visitors' movements trigger changes in lighting via sensors. Visitors can experience an unusual spacial situation, which taps in into a different layer of the perception of contemporary urban aesthetic. The installation ‘cloud city’ is an exact replica from a five-second scene from a movie set filmed at Elstree Studios near London in 1981. Unaware of this, the experience of entering this space is very personal, completely unbiased and thus differs greatly from person to person.

第1回神戸ビエンナーレのために制作されたトンネル状のインスタレーションで、本来は20フィートの海外輸送用コンテナの中に設置された。来場者の動きをセンサーが感知し、照明が変化する。観賞者は現代都市の美意識の異なる層に入り込み、非日常的な空間状況を体験することができる。このインスタレーション「クラウドシティ」は、1981年にロンドン近郊のエルスツリー・スタジオで撮影された、ある映画のセットの5秒間のシーンを忠実に再現したものである。このことを知らずにこの空間に入ったときの体験は、偏見がないからこそ非常に個人的であるゆえ、人によって大きく異なる。
