Florian Claar

A place between fiction and reality, between kitsch and solemnity. Filmed in 2018 for the exhibition Waldmärchen, in a former hydroelectric plant, the video is a collection of short episodes that all share the same fixed camera position in the center of the building. Each tableau begins with the selection of a piece of music that is in some way connected to the unique industrial architecture of the building. The music, the building, landscapes, pieces from old fables and popular culture form a colorful tapestry of stories, sounds and thoughts.

虚構と現実の狭間、キッチュと荘厳の狭間。2018年にWaldmärchen展のために旧水力発電所で撮影されたこの映像は、建物の中心に固定されたカメラの位置をすべて共有する、短いエピソードの集合体です。各テーブルは、建物のユニークな産業建築と何らかの形で関連する音楽の選択から始まります。音楽、建物、風景、昔話や大衆文化の断片が、物語、音、思考の色鮮やかなタペストリーを形成しているのです。
