Vessel II is a continuation of the first Vessel Projects which started in Yokohama in 2008, a series of several large land-art sculptures, which were, depending on the environment, installed in different ways. Using the metaphor of a fragmentary and always changing entity, this series seeks to describe various states of a constantly transforming existence. Each version links to a different narrative in literature or myths, which revolve around different perspectives on the fragmentary and transmorphic state of living beings. Like the human body, in which there is no age or state that can be called "complete," but rather a gradual and constant transformation of body and mind between birth and death.
